Position Summary 


We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to support our team in the service, installation and maintenance of commercial and industrial scales. This role involves assisting technicians with field and shop work, handling tools and materials, preparing job sites, cleaning and organizing equipment, and performing general labor tasks related to scale systems of all types and capacities. 


The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, able to work in a physically demanding environment, and willing to travel to customer sites as needed. 


Key Responsibilities 


· Assist technicians with the installation, removal, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of scales.

· Load, unload, move, and position tools, weights, parts, and equipment at job sites and in the shop. 

· Prepare work areas and job sites for service and installation projects. 

· Perform general labor tasks such as digging, lifting, cleaning, painting, basic assembly, pressure washing and material handling. 

· Help with preventive maintenance and routine service work on scale equipment. 

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in company vehicles, shop areas, and customer locations. 

· Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively. 

· Follow instructions from lead technicians and supervisors.

· Complete basic paperwork, time records, and job-related documentation as required. 

· Travel to customer locations as needed and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. 


Required Qualifications 


· High school diploma or GED preferred. 

· Previous general labor, construction, mechanical, industrial, or field service experience preferred. 

· Ability to use basic hand and power tools. 

· Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the scale service industry. 

· Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team. 

· Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality. 


Physical Requirements 


· Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 50 pounds or more regularly, with assistance for heavier items. 

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, crouch, and work on uneven surfaces for extended periods. 

· Ability to work indoors and outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and dusty or industrial environments. 


Preferred Qualifications 


· Experience in scale service, industrial maintenance, construction, welding,

concrete work, or electrical/mechanical assembly.

· Forklift, rigging, or CDL experience is a plus.

· Experience towing trailers or driving work trucks is a plus.
