About the role: 

As a Senior Project Manager in our Slate studio, you will lead mid- to large-scale commercial furnishing projects from concept through completion, ensuring technical excellence, strong client partnerships, and successful project outcomes. Serving as the primary point of contact for clients and project teams, you will manage timelines, budgets, and resources while coordinating across internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors. 

This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance on-site involvement with strategic oversight. Your ability to drive collaboration, maintain high quality standards, and proactively resolve challenges will be key to delivering projects on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations. 


What you’ll do: 

  • Lead multiple mid- to large-scale commercial furnishing projects from purchase order through installation and closeout, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations.  
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, providing clear communication, project updates, and proactive issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans including resource allocation, procurement and installation sequencing, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.  
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams to define project scope, coordinate execution, and ensure seamless delivery.  
  • Oversee project budgets, cost tracking, contracts, and change orders, maintaining financial control while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.  
  • Coordinate design, procurement, delivery, and installation activities, ensuring site readiness, building access, delivery logistics, and installation system requirements are met.  
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to project team members, supporting onboarding, workflow coordination, and day-to-day collaboration.  
  • Lead project closeouts and post-project reviews to capture lessons learned, applying insights to future projects. 
Requirements

Who you are: 

  • 5+ years of project management experience within commercial furniture, interiors, or construction industries.  
  • Strong verbal, written, and client-facing communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey updates and expectations.  
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing timelines, budgets, and multiple stakeholders across complex projects.  
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and resource planning throughout project lifecycles.  
  • Effective collaborator with cross-functional teams and clients, building trust and alignment through strong interpersonal skills.  
  • Solid understanding of commercial furniture systems, design principles, installation logistics, installation system analysis, and warranty processes.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with project management software experience to track and manage projects. 
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions.  
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience.  
  • PMP certification or related credentials is a plus. 


Work Environment: 

This full-time role is based in Denver, CO and requires on-site presence Monday-Friday, either in the office or at project sites throughout the Denver metro area. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for travel between job sites. Occasional travel outside of Colorado may be required based on project needs

Salary Description
$65,000 - $88,000 per year
