About the Internship

Guideline is seeking a motivated and curious Summer Marketing & Sales Development Intern to join our team for an immersive 8-10 week program. This is a full-stack B2B marketing internship designed to give the intern broad, hands-on exposure to every facet of B2B go-to-market strategy — from demand generation and content marketing to inside sales, outbound prospecting, and SDR (Sales Development Representative) activities. 


The intern will work closely with our SDR team and marketing leadership, gaining real-world experience in the AI-powered advertising industry. This role is ideal for someone who wants to understand how B2B companies acquire, engage, and convert enterprise customers — and who isn’t afraid to pick up the phone. 


Job Title: Marketing & Sales Development Summer Intern

Team: Marketing

Duration: Beginning June 8, 2026 and running for 8-10 Weeks (Summer 2026) 

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Inside Sales & SDR Activities (~30%) 

  • Conduct outbound prospecting via cold calling, email sequences, and LinkedIn outreach to generate qualified leads 
  • Work alongside the SDR team to book discovery calls and demos for the sales organization 
  • Research and build targeted prospect lists using tools like Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and CRM platforms 
  • Manage and update lead data in the CRM, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up 
  • Track outreach metrics (calls made, emails sent, response rates, meetings booked) and report on weekly performance 

B2B Marketing (~60%) 

  • Assist with demand generation campaigns including email marketing, paid media support, and content distribution 
  • Help create marketing collateral: case studies, one-pagers, blog posts, social media content, and presentation decks 
  • Support event planning and coordination for webinars, trade shows, or partner events 
  • Conduct competitive research and market analysis to inform positioning and messaging 
  • Contribute to SEO/SEM initiatives and help track campaign performance metrics 

Cross-Functional Exposure (~10%) 

  • Sit in on sales calls, client meetings, and strategy sessions to learn the full B2B sales cycle 
  • Collaborate with product, customer success, and leadership teams to gain a holistic view of the business 
  • Participate in weekly team stand-ups, marketing reviews, and pipeline meetings 
  • Complete an end-of-internship capstone project presenting key learnings and a strategic recommendation to leadership 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Business, Marketing, Economics, Communications, or a related field 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills — comfortable making cold calls and engaging with prospects 
  • Prior experience with outbound sales, cold calling, or business development is a strong plus 
  • Self-starter with a high level of energy, curiosity, and willingness to learn 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace 
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for the full duration of the internship (June 22 – August 14, 2026) 
  • Interest in AI, advertising technology, and the B2B SaaS landscape 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) or sales engagement platforms (Apollo, Outreach, etc.) 
  • Familiarity with marketing automation, email marketing platforms, or social media management tools 
  • Coursework or projects in marketing, sales, data analytics, or entrepreneurship 
  • Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment

COMPENSATION

$20.00/hour CAD
