Position Summary
The Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) provides direct clinical services to individuals, families, and communities impacted by systemic barriers to care. This role blends therapeutic excellence with a commitment to equity, community engagement, and whole-person care.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy services
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Participate in interdisciplinary care coordination
- Engage in culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices
- Support client retention and engagement efforts
- Collaborate with HUE programs addressing social determinants of health (SDOH)
- Active Texas LPC license (required)
- Experience in community mental health, trauma, or underserved populations (preferred)
- Strong clinical documentation and ethical practice standards
- Commitment to health equity and culturally competent care
- Ability to manage a consistent caseload
Compensation & Structure
HUE utilizes a hybrid compensation model designed to balance stability and performance:
- Base Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 annually
- Productivity Pay: $50–$60 per completed clinical session beyond baseline
- Session Threshold: 15 sessions per week
- Tiered Incentives:
- 16–20 sessions/week: $50/session
- 21–25 sessions/week: $55/session
- 26+ sessions/week: $60/session
- Cancellation Protection: Late cancellations/no-shows compensated at partial rate
- Earning Potential: $65,000 – $90,000+ annually depending on caseload
