Position Summary

The Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) provides direct clinical services to individuals, families, and communities impacted by systemic barriers to care. This role blends therapeutic excellence with a commitment to equity, community engagement, and whole-person care. 

 Core Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy services 
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation 
• Develop and implement treatment plans 
• Participate in interdisciplinary care coordination 
• Engage in culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices 
• Support client retention and engagement efforts 
• Collaborate with HUE programs addressing social determinants of health (SDOH)

• Active Texas LPC license (required) 
• Experience in community mental health, trauma, or underserved populations (preferred) 
• Strong clinical documentation and ethical practice standards 
• Commitment to health equity and culturally competent care 
• Ability to manage a consistent caseload

Compensation & Structure

HUE utilizes a hybrid compensation model designed to balance stability and performance:

• Base Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 annually 
• Productivity Pay: $50–$60 per completed clinical session beyond baseline 
• Session Threshold: 15 sessions per week 
• Tiered Incentives: 
  • 16–20 sessions/week: $50/session 
  • 21–25 sessions/week: $55/session 
  • 26+ sessions/week: $60/session 
• Cancellation Protection: Late cancellations/no-shows compensated at partial rate 
• Earning Potential: $65,000 – $90,000+ annually depending on caseload
