Description

Position Summary 


The Sales Associate acts as a cashier within the Food and Beverage Department and is responsible for providing efficient and friendly service to guests in a fast-paced stadium environment. This role handles customer transactions accurately while ensuring a positive guest experience during events. The Sales Associate processes payments, answers questions, and maintains a clean and organized work area. This position works under direct supervision and must perform well under high-volume conditions.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner to enhance the customer experience.
  • Accurately process cash, credit/debit card, and mobile payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Maintain an organized and balanced cash drawer throughout the shift.
  • Provide information about menu items and stadium policies.
  • Ensure orders are entered correctly and communicate clearly with kitchen staff when needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the cashier station, including counters and surrounding areas.
  • Follow all company policies regarding cash handling, refunds, and exchanges.
  • Assist with restocking items such as napkins, utensils, and beverages.
  • Work efficiently during peak times to minimize guest wait times.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic math skills and ability to handle money accurately.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a POS system or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in transactions.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Experience and Training 

  • Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be 16 years old or older.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid Indiana alcohol server permit prior to first shift.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Completion of required stadium training, including alcohol compliance, cash handling, and guest service modules. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic familiarity with electronic payment systems is a plus.


Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time. 
  • Frequent use of hands for handling cash, scanning items, and operating POS equipment. 
  • Occasional lifting of light items (up to 20–25 pounds).

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced, high-traffic stadium environment during events.
  • Exposure to noise, crowds, and varying temperatures depending on location.
  • May work indoors or at open-air concession stands.


Job Dimensions

  • Works closely with concession staff, supervisors, and kitchen personnel.
  • Direct interaction with large volumes of guests during events.
  • Plays a key role in delivering efficient service and enhancing overall guest satisfaction.
