Position Summary
The Enrollment Specialist owns coverage integrity by ensuring accurate and timely submission of all member enrollments to insurance carriers. This role manages the full enrollment lifecycle from application submission through carrier confirmation and ongoing validation.
Primary Responsibilities
Enrollment Processing
• Submit carrier applications for all enrollment types:
• New hire enrollments
• Open enrollment elections
• Qualifying Life Events (QLEs)
• Plan changes and updates
• Terminations and COBRA transitions
• Collect and submit supplemental documentation required by carriers
• Ensure enrollment accuracy before submission
• Meet carrier-specific submission requirements and deadlines
• Track enrollment status through carrier systems
Carrier Relationship Management
• Maintain operational relationships with insurance carriers
• Navigate carrier portals and submission systems
• Coordinate with carrier representatives on enrollment issues
Enrollment Validation (Audit)
• Perform post-enrollment carrier validation and confirmation
• Verify coverage accuracy across the enrollment lifecycle:
• Open Enrollment ? Enrollment submission ? Audit ? Payment
• Validate plan accuracy and member information
• Identify and resolve carrier discrepancies
• Conduct compliance auditing of enrollment processes
• Perform process quality assurance reviews
Issue Resolution
• Follow up on pending carrier applications
• Resolve enrollment discrepancies with carriers
• Coordinate on enrollment escalations
• Document and track enrollment issues
• Prevent retroactive corrections through proactive validation
Key Performance Indicators
• Enrollment Accuracy: greater than 99.5%
• Processing Time: less than 5 business days for standard enrollments
• Carrier Confirmation: greater than 98% confirmation withing 10 days
• QLE Processing Time: less than 15 business days
• Open Enrollment Completion: 100% by December 31

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
• High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in benefits enrollment, insurance administration, or related field
• Health insurance industry experience

Compensation
- This is a 100% remote position (aligned with US Pacific Time) with an hourly rate of $25.00+experience.
