Description
Our client is hiring a Customer Service Specialist to serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a positive and professional experience across all interactions. This role manages inquiries, processes orders, and coordinates with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond quickly, professionally, and accurately to customer inquiries regarding quotes, orders, status requests, complaints, and returns
- Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, emails, and requests
- Create and update customer sales orders in ERP systems and maintain data in CRM
- Provide product, pricing, shipping, and availability information to customers
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, issues, and resolutions
- Coordinate shipments and work with internal teams and external carriers to ensure timely delivery
- Build strong customer relationships through professional, friendly, and empathetic communication
- Partner with sales and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve customer experience
- Identify root causes of issues and recommend process improvements
- Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining files and processing documentation
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 4+ years of customer service experience
- Ability to proactively analyze problems, identify root causes, and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workload efficiently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and empathetic approach
- Ability to display patience and make customers feel valued
- Highly organized with the ability to anticipate and meet customer needs
- Ability to comprehend complex information and apply it to daily tasks
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Experience in a corporate environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree
- Proven experience in a call center environment
- Sales experience
- 5+ years of customer service experience preferred
