We are expanding our Management Team to support continued growth. Our current Estimating Manager is staying with the company. We're adding leadership capacity to support growing RFQ volume and long-term planning for the department. Because of that, we're open to a smooth, flexible transition, the right candidate can step directly into the manager role, or ramp in gradually over several months while learning our systems, customers, and processes before taking on full managerial responsibilities.
About the Role
The Estimating Manager leads our quoting process from RFQ intake through pricing approval and handoff to Engineering. It's a fast-paced, high-mix environment where speed, accuracy, and good prioritization directly impact our ability to win business.
Day to day, you will:
- Manage and prioritize a busy queue of RFQs
- Review and approve quotes before they go to customers
- Assign and balance workload across the estimating team
- Partner with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Purchasing to keep work moving
- Mentor and develop estimators
- Help improve our estimating tools and processes
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on estimating experience in precision metal fabrication or similar manufacturing
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong prioritization and decision-making skills, especially with incomplete or changing information
- Comfortable working cross-functionally
- Strong math, analytical, computer, and communication skills
- Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering is a plus, but not required
The right person treats estimating as a business function, accurate enough to protect margin, fast enough to win the work.
Physical Requirements:
· Exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally
· Ability to communicate with others and accommodation as required to listen to equipment

Work Conditions:
Typical metal manufacturing environment with exposure to powder coat paint facility. Both active and sedentary work, which may involve repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, walking, standing, bending and lifting.
