JOB SUMMARY
Epiq Solutions is seeking a full-time Senior Staff Applications Engineer interested in making immediate contributions as part of a growing team that designs and manufactures state-of-the-art RF products and applications. Our Applications team plays a key role in helping our customers succeed in their product designs that leverage our software defined radio (SDR) modules and RF sensing solutions. The successful candidate in this role enjoys working with engineers and across multiple domains and is comfortable working with customer engineers or technical users with limited project knowledge. This role requires both technical acumen, as well as the people skills needed to deliver a superior customer experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with customer teams to understand their use-cases and present technical solutions.
- Produce examples for our SDR modules or platforms integrated and working with a variety customer systems.
- Participate in on-site demonstrations that promote the capabilities of our SDR modules and platforms.
- Provide guidance and support for our customers related to the usage of our SDR modules or platforms, as well as in the use of our software ecosystem.
- Serve as a technical expert regarding Epiq’s SDRs and platforms or host integration. Rapidly diagnose possible integration or usage issues and present solutions in a clear and concise fashion.
- Provide customer use instruction or seminars to customers.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Knowledge in Defense and Government applications areas, including modular open systems, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Cyber and Electronic Warfare (EW).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in DoW/Gov applications, embedded systems, or software, with demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and debugging technical issues.
- Track record as a technical expert, with the ability to provide technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of hardware and software with a proficient at identifying and solving technical issues.
- Employee must either have or be willing and able to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Software skills in programming languages such as C, C++, Matlab, Python, etc.
- Experience with a variety of host systems (embedded ARM/x86, GPU, VPX, etc.) and interfaces (PCIe, DMA, ethernet, etc.).
- Basic understanding of RF and radio transceivers.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
