Mountain Recreation is seeking friendly and outgoing individuals to join our Front Desk team at Eagle Pool and Ice Rink for the summer season. This customer service role involves greeting guests, answering phones, collecting daily admissions, and assisting with activity registrations. Responsibilities also include processing daily sales, managing pass sales and equipment rentals, balancing cash, and providing accurate information to the public.

POSITION DETAILS
Job Title: Front Desk Attendant
Location: Eagle Pool and Ice Rink (Eagle, CO)
Employment Type: Part-Time, Seasonal • May – September
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Overtime Eligible)
Schedule: Work hours and days may vary, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
Supervision Required: Works under the supervision of the Eagle Pool and Ice Rink Facility Supervisor and Facility Coordinator
Supervision Exercised: None
Work Environment and Physical Demands: his position is primarily indoors and may require prolonged periods of standing or sitting. Employees may need to bend, reach, or move around the front desk area, and occasionally lift or carry items such as equipment, supplies, or registration materials. Work hours and days may vary, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Salary: $18.49 – $23.11/hour DOE; staff in this position are eligible for a $1/hour incentive for Spanish/English bilingual and can pass the language competency test.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General Statement of Duties: Performs a variety of office duties, including greeting visitors, handling customer transactions, processing cash, and providing general administrative support.
Examples of Duties:
- Welcomes pass holders and greets guests entering the facility, striving to create a positive first impression while providing exceptional customer service.
- Serves as cashier for a variety of transactions including drop-in facility fees, program registration, pass sales, and concessions. Notifies participants of program/class cancelations or changes.
- Provides excellent internal and external customer service. Creates a positive experience for customers through professional and courteous behavior and effective problem resolution.
- Maintains safety, cleanliness, and organization of work area and surrounding lobby area. Assists with other cleaning as assigned.
- Performs emergency support as directed in the emergency action plan.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures at the facility.
- Greets the public and directs them to activities; answers multi-line telephone and provides District and facility information. Assist patrons with lost & found items.
- Attend staff meetings and in-service sessions as necessary.
- Provide information to the public on facility operations and recreation programs.
- Monitor lobby area to ensure paying customers and cleanliness.
- Performs light maintenance duties such as picking up towels, sweeping/mopping floors, wiping down counters. Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of front desk area.
- Complete special projects and assist in other areas as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Considerable knowledge of: Cash register operation and cash handling; ability to count money and make change.
Skills and abilities:

- General knowledge of recreation, sports, physical fitness and leisure activities.

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while paying attention to detail.

Requirements:
Education and experience:
- Must be 15 years of age or older; AND
- High school diploma or equivalent; AND
- Previous customer service experience preferred; OR
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the essential duties.
- Bilingual preferred English/Spanish.
Certifications:
- May require possession of or ability to obtain a valid First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
