HR Specialist, Employee Relations

Website: Specialty Dental Brands

At Specialty Dental Brands, we are building a best-in-class support organization that empowers our practices to deliver exceptional patient care. As we continue to grow across multiple states, we are seeking an HR Specialist, Employee Relations to serve as the centralized expert and owner of employee relations, investigations, and employment compliance.

This is a critical, high-impact role designed to bring consistency, clarity, and risk mitigation to how employee matters are handled across our organization.

Why This Role Matters

In a fast-paced, multi-site healthcare environment, employee relations and compliance cannot be inconsistent or decentralized. With this role we provide structure, defensibility, and trust.

Requirements

What You'll Do

  •  Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, managing cases from intake through resolution across a multi-state environment.
  • Lead and oversee workplace investigations including harassment, misconduct, and retaliation claims, ensuring thorough, defensible documentation and consistent follow-through.
  • Review disciplinary actions and guide termination decisions to ensure compliance, consistency, and risk mitigation related to wage & hour concerns, retaliation, and employee separations.
  • Interpret and apply company policies while partnering closely with leaders, HRBPs, and legal counsel to provide thoughtful ER guidance and support.
  • Support ADA accommodations, unemployment processes, and other sensitive employee matters with professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready case documentation and contribute to a collaborative, high-accountability HR culture.
  • This is not a triage-only or administrative ER role—you’ll have true ownership of investigations and employee relations work while receiving strong partnership and support for complex or high-risk situations.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in employee relations, investigations, or employment compliance
  • Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws
  • Experience supporting hourly, multi-site workforces
  • Excellent judgment, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with a balance of compassion and directness

Preferred

  • Healthcare, DSO, or other regulated industry experience
  • Experience working with legal counsel
  • Familiarity with unemployment and wage & hour risk

Success in This Role

  • Consistent, compliant, and defensible employee decisions
  • Strong, well-documented investigation processes
  • Reduced organizational risk
  • Clear, confident guidance to leaders and HR partners
