The Utility role communicates with Brick Machine Operators and Setting Operators to assist with daily production.  They will gain basic knowledge of the equipment in the Making and Setting areas and how machines affect each other.  This role ensures that machines are running efficiently, at desired rates and with minimal downtime. 

• Maintain safe and clean work area to avoid personal injury and/or property damage.
• Use proper safety equipment and procedures.
• Ability to learn brick machine and setter.
• Ability to understand computers as they relate to operation of Making and Setting.
• Ability to understand recipe sheets and be familiar with additives.
• Knowledge of hand tools.
• Perform periodic checks on machine to insure proper function.
• Ability and willingness to assist Making and Setting Operator.
• Basic knowledge of transfer cars and some haulages.
• Ability & willingness to help throughout the plant where needed.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to twist, stoop, and bend regularly.
• Hardhat, safety glasses and steel toe shoes etc. required.

Work Schedule

• 2/3 Schedule, must be able to work every other weekend
• 5:30am until production is complete
