Description

Position: Service Technician

Job Description: Service and repair technician to service and install commercial dish machines in food service establishments (includes restaurants and hotels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on commercial warewash (dish machine) equipment. May also include installations of other kitchen equipment.  
  • Demonstrate effective troubleshooting and problem solving skills. This could include areas of mechanical, electrical, & plumbing.
  • Effectively manage time and resources to control costs, enhance efficiencies, and meet commitments.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Build strong customer relationships and build knowledge and understanding of new and existing customer needs/expectations.
  • Attend appropriate technical and manufacturer training when necessary.

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull and reach above and below waist.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in damp and/or humid conditions. And in restaurant dish machine areas
  • Ability to work with moving mechanical parts, pressurized steam equipment, heated surfaces, liquids, and electrical wiring.
  • Customer service driven.


Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 1 year service industry experience – refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, military service.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record (2 yrs).
  • Willingness and ability to be involved with the emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated with the proven ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Plumbing and electrical experience preferable but not required.


Salary Description
$55,000 - $65,000
