Painter Job Summary:

Bedrock is seeking a Painter to prepare and powder coat metal products according to high-quality standards. This role involves surface preparation, paint application, and inspection while maintaining safety and efficiency in a production setting.

Painter Responsibilities:

- Sand and prepare parts for powder coat application (approx. 4 hours daily)

- Apply powder coat at correct thickness on assembly line prior to heat processing

- Adjust equipment controls to ensure consistent powder flow

- Inspect painted products to ensure coating quality

- Operate lifting and moving devices to transport materials and equipment

- Always wear required PPE including safety glasses and masks

- Follow department attendance and safety policies

- All other duties assigned by management

Painter Skills and Competencies:

- Excellent interpersonal communication

- Ability to identify various parts and finishes (e.g., grill guards, bumpers, racks)

- Leadership qualities and attention to detail

Painter Qualifications:

- Ability to visually inspect and apply proper amounts of powder coat

- Must pass respiratory fit and pulmonary function tests

- Must be certified or able to be trained in forklift operation

Work Environment:

Indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to loud noise, weather conditions, and airborne particles. PPE is required.

Physical Requirements:

- Sitting/walking (33%-75%)

- Stooping, bending, twisting, leaning (10%-25%)

- Lifting up to 40 lbs occasionally (0%-33%)
