Description

Position Summary:


The Paralegal supports the legal and compliance functions of the organization by managing legal documentation, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counsel, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and corporate governance requirements. This role is critical in supporting day-to-day legal operations across contracts, employment matters, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities


Contracts & Legal Support

  • Draft, review, and manage contracts (vendor agreements, NDAs, service agreements, physician agreements, etc.)
  • Maintain contract lifecycle tracking, including renewals and expirations
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather required information and approvals
  • Liaise with external legal counsel on contract review and revisions


Corporate & Compliance

  • Maintain corporate records, licenses, and regulatory filings
  • Support compliance initiatives, including policy updates and audits
  • Track and monitor regulatory requirements (healthcare, labor, etc.)
  • Assist with risk management and incident documentation


Employment & HR Legal Support

  • Assist with employment-related documentation (offer letters, disciplinary actions, terminations)
  • Support investigations and maintain documentation in coordination with HR
  • Ensure adherence to California labor law requirements


Litigation & Claims

  • Support litigation matters by organizing documents, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with outside counsel
  • Maintain legal hold documentation and case files


Administrative & Operational

  • Organize and maintain legal files and documentation systems
  • Track key legal metrics and reporting
  • Support special projects and operational initiatives as needed
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal certificate preferred
  • 3–7+ years of paralegal or legal operations experience
  • Experience in healthcare, multi-site operations, or corporate environment strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of California employment law and compliance
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
