The National UPS Proposal & Quote Specialist is responsible for creating fast, accurate, and competitive price quotations for industrial and commercial Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, battery solutions, and associated maintenance services. Working closely with Sales Engineers and Regional Managers across the U.S., you will interpret technical specifications (RFPs) and transform them into professional proposals. This role ensures all quotes are technically sound, profitable, and delivered within tight deadlines.

Requirements

  

· Quote Generation: Develop detailed, itemized price quotations for single-phase and three-phase UPS systems, battery cabinets, and PDUs.

· Technical Review: Analyze customer inquiries, RFQs, and specification sheets to ensure proposal compliance.

· Collaboration: Coordinate with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to gather necessary technical and cost information.

· Proposal Management: Manage the entire quoting lifecycle, from initial inquiry to final submission and revisions, ensuring high quality and accuracy.

· Pricing Strategy: Maintain and apply appropriate markups, margin targets, and freight/labor costs, utilizing company CRM/quoting tools.

· Documentation: Maintain a comprehensive and accurate database of service histories, project notes, and previous quotes.

· Service Proposals: Quote preventive maintenance, startup services, and emergency repair services for UPS systems.

Qualifications

· Experience: 2–5+ years of experience preparing technical and commercial proposals, preferably within the critical power, electrical, or industrial equipment industry.

· Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of critical power systems, including UPS technology, batteries, and related power infrastructure.

· Software Skills: Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

· Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with complex customer specifications.

Preferred Skills

· Experience in the data center, utility, or healthcare power industry.

· Knowledge of major UPS brands (Eaton, APC, Vertiv/Liebert, Schneider Electric).

· Ability to read one-line diagrams and technical schematics.

Working Conditions

· This is a national role requiring coordination across multiple time zones.
