Description

Learning Support Teacher (3 days per week approx. 24 hours per week)

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support learning for students in grades K5-8th. 
  • Differentiate math and literacy  instruction, support, and interventions to students who need additional assistance.  
  • Deliver instruction in small groups or one-on-one settings (both push-in and pull-out sessions).
  • Provide in classroom support as needed 
  • Monitor student progress, especially those with ISPs,  to ensure academic success.
  • Administer Ark and AimsWeb testing for grades K5-8th grades three times per year as well as for incoming students.
  • Support classroom teachers with goal development related to ARK & AimsWeb data
  • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings after school
  • Coordinate paperwork and meetings with the teachers and the Rockford Public Schools special services teams for students with ISPs or potential ISPs.

Salary Description: $15,000-$18,500  Benefit Summary 

Requirements

Knowledge and skill in teaching literacy and math

Valid IL Teaching license preferred

Prior teaching experience preferred
