We are seeking a dynamic HR/Payroll & Staffing Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will oversee on-site HR and payroll functions while ensuring the nursing department is appropriately staffed to meet resident care needs. This position requires a detail-oriented, organized professional who can balance employee relations, scheduling, compliance, and recruitment. In this role, you’ll be at the center of it all — balancing schedules, supporting staff, and making sure our residents have the best care possible.


What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the on-site HR resource, supporting employee relations, benefits, payroll, and compliance
  • Partner with facility leadership and Cascadia’s Home Office HR team to implement programs and initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee personnel files
  • Coordinate background checks, onboarding, and new hire processes
  • Manage payroll processes, including timecard and change submissions
  • Ensure timely completion of performance reviews and support corrective action processes
  • Track and report workplace injuries to workers’ compensation carriers
  • Develop and manage nursing department schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Respond to staffing/scheduling needs, including call-ins and coverage adjustments
  • Support recruitment efforts, including responding to applicant inquiries and scheduling interviews
  • Assist employees during open enrollment and benefits administration
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s in HR or Business Administration preferred
  • PHR/SPHR certification a plus
  • Minimum 6 months of HR and/or payroll experience required; healthcare experience preferred
  • Knowledge of HIPAA rules and employment law preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain neutral, professional, and confidential in sensitive situations

Requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred. 


Licenses/Certification

  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.


Experience

  • One year human resources and/or payroll experience required; Six months experience in a health care environment preferred.
Salary Description
$25.00 - $35.00 / hour
