Custom Health Pharmacy provides a wide variety of pharmacy services and a personal approach to our patient-centric pharmacy business. In addition to retail pharmacy services, specializes in compliance packaging using PacMed, SynMed, and Spencer machines to provide services for long-term care homes, personal care homes, facilities, group homes, and individual patients.


Custom Health is looking for a hard-working, motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our pharmacy team as a part-time Pharmacy Assistant.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing sales transactions for medications and other pharmaceutical supplies
  • Directing all questions relating to prescriptions, health matters, or medications to the pharmacist
  • Answering all incoming telephone calls in a professional manner
  • Be a key member of the Central Fill Packaging team, working within the scope of a Pharmacy Assistant to prepare medications for packaging for a final check by a registered pharmacy technician or pharmacist
  • Accurately pick drugs for packaging and file them accordingly
  • Taking inventory of all medication and pharmaceutical supplies
  • Receive and file inventory efficiently and accurately
  • Restocking shelves with medications and other pharmaceutical supplies
  • Attending to emails and fax messages
  • Ensuring that work areas are organized and clean
  • Provide an excellent level of customer service to all clients
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills, self-directed work ethic, and an ability to multi-task are a must
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Independent thinking and ability to solve problems
  • High attention to detail while being efficient and able to manage time
  • Quick learner and ability to adapt to new information and routines
  • Experience with Kroll software is an asset

Experience:

  • Pharmacy assistant experience preferred
  • At least 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience is preferred
