What You’ll Do

As a Quality Control Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and consistency. You’ll work hands-on with block and aggregate materials, conduct inspections, and help maintain the exceptional standards our customers trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and prepare aggregate samples (up to 50 lbs per sample). 
  • Inspect truck beds to ensure compliance and cleanliness. 
  • Plan, organize, and manage day-to-day operations within the QC Lab.
  • Mix colors to specification and verify product design accuracy. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation and enter data into company systems. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the QC and production teams.
     

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills — you’re professional, approachable, and a team player. 
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
  • Experience handling state and federal documentation preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons.
     

Work Environment

  • Work safely and in compliance with all YBP Safety Policies
  • Work may take place both indoors and outdoors — expect exposure to heat, cold, dust, and varying weather conditions.
  • May involve operating or working around heavy machinery and equipment.
     

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk, sit, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Capable of shoveling wet, heavy materials for extended periods.
