Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Build long-term partnerships by understanding customer supply chain needs and pain points.
- Generate new opportunities and convert your existing business into new growth opportunities for the enterprise and personal compensation.
- Effectively negotiate rates with carriers.
- Interact courteously, promptly, and professionally with internal departments to satisfy customer issues and/or process exceptions to normal guidelines (including, but not limited to shipping, pricing, scheduling, credit, and accounting).
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Freight Broker Experience, preferably in third-party logistics
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to be self-motivated with a drive to succeed
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to work with technology efficiently
