Provide expert technical oversight and comprehensive review of a wide range of studies performed for utility-scale renewable generation, storage, and related facilities by junior and senior electrical systems studies engineers. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for internal and external clients and assist with problem resolution. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, grid interconnection requirements, and other regulatory requirements. Support the development and execution of advanced electrical systems modeling and studies for steady-state, transient, and dynamic analysis, including plant control modeling. Mentor, guide, and assist in training electrical studies engineers and assist in the development of internal standards and practices for improved studies comprehensiveness and performance.
1. Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with coursework in power systems or electric power engineering earned from an ABET accredited institution.
2. Seven (7) years of professional engineering experience.
3. Four (4) years of experience in utility-scale renewable power plant electrical design, modeling, and analysis, which may have been gained as a part of or in addition to the professional engineering experience.
4. Additional experience must include:
- Providing independent review and feedback on electrical power systems studies for renewable power plant designs.
- Solar photovoltaic, wind, and battery storage project design, including the electrical aspects of these designs.
