Overview:

The Daytime Custodial employee supports the Facilities team by taking a lead role in maintaining a clean,

safe, and highly functional learning and work environment for staff and students in grades PreK-12. Daily

responsibilities include responding to daytime custodial needs, overseeing lunch maintenance, trash and

snow removal, and work orders as assigned. This individual will be trained on basic maintenance

techniques, safe cleaning practices, proper waste management, and the operation of maintenance

machines. The right candidate will have a heart to serve and the flexibility to work evenings and

weekends as needed to support a wide variety of school community events.


Job Requirements & Qualifications:


  •  Believe and actively support the school’s Statement of Faith; possessing a strong Christian faith with knowledge of the Bible, a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and a demonstrated character of integrity.
  • Must possess:

           o strong attention to detail

           o exceptional communication skills

           o comfort utilizing computer applications to manage calendar and work assignments

  • Must be:

          o self-motivated with the ability to work independently

          o able to lift a minimum of 50lbs and operate heavy machinery as needed

          o willing to take on new challenges

  •  A combination of education/experience equivalent to:

o High School diploma and maintenance experience preferred

  • Standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment
  • Ability to navigate up to three flights of stairs
  • Lifting a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to bend, stoop and squat

Salary Description
$22.00 - $24.00 Per Hour
