Description

Major Responsibilities:

  • Direct, coach and manage a team of direct reports (Commodity Sales Executives)
  • Work with the Department Head to set strategy for the team
  • Develop and track metrics on team performance
  • Manage workflow process for the team to insure efficiency and completion 
  • Identify, develop and maintain strong relationships with Strategic Outlets 
  • Track and analyze commodity markets/pricing trends 
  • Work with the Client Development team to maximize profitability at Client accounts and achieve Client goals
  • Identifying needs for new outlet partners/technologies
  • High level negotiation with outlets
  • Reviewing/editing contracts documents 
  • High level data analysis
Requirements

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Northstar Recycling Commodity Sales Team Leads should possess the following criteria:
  • 4-year degree in Science or Business fields
  • Minimum of 2 years experience at Northstar Recycling OR 1 year at Northstar Recycling and 1+ years professional experience in the waste/recycling industry
  • Previous management or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experienced negotiator
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to travel as needed

Northstar Commodity Sales Team Leads can be based throughout the country. This position can be fully remote or a hybrid office/remote set-up (utilizing an existing Northstar office).

This position requires valid driver’s license and clean driving record as a condition of employment.
