Position Overview:
As a Parts Sales Associate at Beltway Companies, you will play a key role in supporting both our service department and our customers by ensuring they have the right parts at the right time. You’ll work closely with service advisors, technicians, the parts team, and customers at the front counter or over the phone to identify, source, and deliver parts needed for repairs and maintenance. This role requires strong communication skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to determine correct parts for repair orders
- Assist customers at the front counter and over the phone with identifying, locating, and purchasing parts
- Pull and deliver parts to service bays in a timely manner to minimize downtime
- Create and process both internal and external parts orders accurately in the system
- Maintain proper stock levels for commonly used service parts
- Coordinate with purchasing staff for special-order or back-ordered parts
- Keep work areas organized and ensure parts are properly labeled and stored
- Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts as needed
- Monitor parts usage trends and provide feedback to management
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures in the parts department
- At least 1 years of related experience in parts sales preferred, but not required
- Previous experience in truck parts, automotive parts, or a service shop environment a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory/order management systems
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with internal teams
- Valid driver’s license required
