About the Role
At Aalberts hydronic flow control, our brands Nexus and Flamco deliver innovative, sustainable solutions from source to emitter. We are seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer to support and strengthen our operations through practical, hands-on improvement efforts.
This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable in a manufacturing environment, enjoys solving problems, and is eager to grow their experience in continuous improvement and Lean practices.
The Impact You Will Make
Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and Operations, the CI Engineer will support continuous improvement initiatives across our operations. This role partners with leaders and employees at all levels to identify opportunities, improve processes, and build a culture of problem-solving and continuous learning.
What You’ll Do
- Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Innovation (SQDCI)
- Work with teams on the shop floor to identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Assist in facilitating Kaizen events and improvement activities
- Help implement and sustain standard work, visual management, and daily management practices
- Support root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to prevent recurrence of issues
- Contribute to value stream mapping and process improvement projects
- Track and report on improvement metrics and results
- Partner with operations, engineering, and leadership to support a culture of continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
Preferred Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Exposure to continuous improvement, Lean, or problem-solving methodologies is a plus, but not required
- Experience supporting projects, process improvements, or operational initiatives
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Willingness to learn and grow in continuous improvement practices
- Self-motivated with a positive, team-oriented mindset
Education (Preferred)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field
- Lean or Six Sigma exposure or certification is a plus, not required
Location & Travel
- Onsite in Fishers, IN, Monday through Friday
- Occasional travel (up to ~10%) to Bedford, NC, or other Aalberts locations
