Description

 ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures all children are appropriately chaperoned and never left unattended in all situations such as facility, transportation, playground, or community outing.
  • Ensures the accuracy of Attendance and Meal Counts. 
  • Monitors each center kitchen/dining area three (3) times per program year (food preparation and food service) of all meal options.
  • Inputs data into Child Plus, and other necessary systems.
  • Maintains current Child and Adult Care Food Program Child enrollment forms.
  •  Maintains current Child and Adult Care Center Meal Benefit Income Eligibility forms. 
  • Keeps current on Income Eligibility Guidelines 
  • Verifies accuracy of monthly meal counts for fiscal. 
  •  Plans and conducts CACFP training to all applicable staff upon initial hire, annually and as needed.
  • Maintains up to date training documentation.
  •  Eats with children sharing the same menus, while demonstrating socially acceptable behaviors and manners.
  • Practices daily health routines and follows emergency procedures if needed.
  • Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required. 
  • Participates in any assigned training opportunities, onsite or web based as needed.

  

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Provides assistance as needed at the center.
  • Attends evening meetings and participates in job related training as required.
  • Follows the program procedures relating to confidentiality.
  •  Performs overnight travel as required.
  • Mandated Child Abuse/Neglect reporter
Requirements

  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Working knowledge of computers, including MS Word, Excel, and other related programs.
  • Working knowledge of CAPCC Early Childhood programs.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient reading and writing skills
  • Proficient basic math skills and ability to analyze collection data/spreadsheets.
  • Ability to train and explain meal count collection process to staff or assigned parties.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with the public.
  • Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certification. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED. (Required)
  • Current PA driver’s license and reliable transportation. (Required)
  •  Free of Child Abuse/Neglect history as verified by proper authorities prior to employment. (Required)
  • Must obtain Child Abuse, PA State Police, NSOR, and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances prior to starting employment. (Required)
  • Must pass tri-annual physical exam and must meet vaccination requirements set by funding sources. (Required)
  • TB screening. (Required)
  • Demonstrates experience working in a child-oriented group setting. (Preferred)
  • Associates Degree (Preferred) 
Salary Description
$11.56/hour
