JOB TITLE: Pricing Analyst (Exempt)
REPORT TO: Corporate Controller
SUMMARY:
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for analyzing pricing strategies, evaluating market trends, and supporting the development of competitive pricing models. This role works closely with sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure pricing aligns with company objectives, profitability targets, and market conditions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze pricing data, market trends, and competitor pricing to support pricing decisions.
- Develop and maintain pricing models, tools, and reports.
- Evaluate product and service profitability and recommend pricing adjustments.
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams to establish pricing strategies that maximize revenue and margins.
- Support the preparation of pricing proposals, quotes, and bids.
- Monitor pricing performance and provide regular reports and insights to management.
- Maintain pricing databases and ensure data accuracy.
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and margin analysis related to pricing.
- Identify opportunities for pricing improvements and process efficiencies.
- Ensure pricing compliance with company policies and contractual agreements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, accounting, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, data analysis, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures and cost accounting principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
- Experience with ERP systems or pricing software preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
DESIRED
- Experience with pricing analytics tools or business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of cost analysis, margin analysis, and financial modeling.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
PHYSICAL REQURIEMENTS:
Sitting/Standing/Walking
- Approximately 75% is spent sitting at a desk, working on the telephone or at a computer terminal
- Approximately 25% is spent bending, squatting, standing, or moving around the work area, including the CNC manufacturing and warehouse areas
Speaking/Hearing
- Ability to speak read and write English fluently
- Clear diction, correct grammar and acute hearing are necessary for effective communication with clients, vendors, management, and other employees
Vision
- Corrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary to effectively use computer screens, read reports and respond to correspondence and emails
Working conditions are normal for an office and warehouse environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
