Description
Position Summary
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance through incoming, in-process, and final inspections. This role focuses on verifying PCB assemblies, including component placement, polarity, and solder quality, in accordance with IPC-A-610 standards. The QC Inspector plays a key role in identifying and escalating quality issues while supporting production and quality teams to maintain high standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming (receiving), in-process, and final product inspections
- Approve first articles to ensure compliance with specifications
- Inspect PCB assemblies for proper component placement, polarity, and solder quality (through-hole and SMT)
- Verify products meet IPC-A-610 and internal quality standards
- Document inspection results accurately in the QC database
- Identify and escalate quality issues to management
- Provide support in investigating and resolving quality concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards (certification preferred)
- Experience inspecting PCB assemblies, including SMT and through-hole components
- Ability to read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, and specifications
- Experience using measuring and inspection tools (e.g., calipers, microscopes, gauges)
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation

Salary Description
$23 - $26 an hour
