Position Overview:

Perform mechanical assembly in a cleanroom using hand tools and established procedures. Operate CNC cells, inspect parts, process through cleaning systems, and maintain accurate records while supporting a safe and efficient work environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Tend automated CNC machine production cell
  • Load and unload parts using predetermined procedures using torque tools
  • Interact with robotic cell software to assure maximum uptime
  • Complete required dimensional inspections using hand tools (micrometer, caliper bore gage) and automated CMM
  • Perform visual inspection of components after machining
  • Process parts though semi-automated ultrasonic cleaning system prior to assembly
  • Perform mechanical assembly in accordance with specified procedures in a cleanroom workspace
  • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
  • Use basic hand and power tools, i.e. sockets, screwdriver, torque tools, wrenches etc.
  • Keep records of production quantities and time
  • Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
  • Prepare for work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather parts, tools, and materials
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Requirements

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to learn quickly, work well under pressure.
  • Experience with mechanical assembly is preferred
  • Basic/Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions in English

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED

Experience and/or Training: 6 months of experience in a related industry preferred
