Hilltop Commons Senior Living is seeking a reliable Housekeeper/Night Porter to join our team. This full-time, benefits-eligible position combines housekeeping responsibilities Monday through Thursday (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) with a weekly Night Porter shift on Fridays (4:30 PM to 1:00 AM).
Job Summary:
Working closely with the Community Administrator and on-site team, the Housekeeper/Night Porter helps maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming community in accordance with Ray Stone Inc. standards. This role is primarily responsible for cleaning resident apartments, common areas, and workspaces to support a positive living environment for residents. In addition, the position serves as the community's Night Porter during a weekly evening shift, helping maintain the security and overall appearance of the property.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a safe and comfortable environment for residents, guests, and staff.
Job Duties:
Housekeeping Duties
- Clean resident apartments, including floors, bathrooms, mirrors, light fixtures, toilets, tubs/showers, dusting, and vacuuming.
- Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, including offices, restrooms, laundry rooms, break rooms, and other shared spaces.
- Clean and prepare vacant apartments to ensure they are move-in ready.
- Support the upkeep of community common spaces through routine dusting, vacuuming, and sanitation.
- Maintain inventory and stocking levels of housekeeping supplies.
- Launder housekeeping linens and related materials.
- Assist the Maintenance team with special projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Community Administrator.
Night Porter Duties
- Serve as the primary after-hours contact for residents, guests, and emergency calls.
- Respond to resident emergency alerts through the community's call, pendant, or pull-cord systems.
- Monitor the property and perform routine security rounds to ensure entrances, exits, and common areas remain secure.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas, including the dining room, kitchen, bathrooms, library, exercise room, and activity spaces.
- Ensure exterior areas, entrances, walkways, and patio furnishings remain clean and presentable.
- Remove and dispose of trash and recycling in designated community collection areas.
- Review, update, and communicate information through the shift log to ensure continuity between teams.
- Report safety, maintenance, security, or resident concerns to the appropriate team members.

- 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or janitorial role
- Experience working with the Senior Community preferred
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand; and use hands to handle/lift objects. Must be able to perform extensive standing, walking, and climbing; to lift to 50lbs. regularly; to transport assigned supplies and materials. Must be able to bend, stoop, push and climb to reach materials (must be able to climb a step ladder at approximately three feet in height).
