Do you take pride in preparing food that not only tastes great but brings comfort to others? We’re looking for a dependable Culinary Aide to join our overnight kitchen team and help ensure residents, employees, and special events are served safe, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared meals.
What You’ll Do
As a Culinary Aide, you’ll play an important role in our dining services by:
- Preparing and portioning foods such as beverages, salads, desserts, and snacks according to menus and dietary needs
- Following food safety and proper handling standards to ensure meals are safe, fresh, and appealing
- Serving meals at the correct temperature, on schedule, and with care
- Using standardized recipes and portion control tools for consistency and quality
- Accurately serving residents according to diet orders and preferences
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen and serving areas
- Washing dishes and maintaining sanitation logs for temperatures and sanitizer use
- Labeling, dating, storing, and rotating food properly
- Monitoring refrigerator and freezer temperatures and reporting concerns promptly
- Assisting with receiving and storing food and supplies
- Supporting inventory awareness and minimizing waste
- Operating kitchen equipment safely and reporting maintenance issues
- Working collaboratively with teammates across departments
- Creating a welcoming, respectful environment for residents, families, and visitors

- Ability to work independently during overnight hours

Overnight shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Wage : $16.75/hour
Employees must successfully pass required state background checks prior to working with residents
Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Licenses/Certification
- Food Handlers Permit, if required per state regulations.
- NOTE: Federal Child Labor Laws do not permit employees younger than 18 years of age to work with or repair, adjust, or clean power-driven machines such as meat slicers and commercial mixers. Therefore, individuals must be at least 18 years of age to be employed in this position.
Experience
- Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
- Experience in food service is desired.
