Description
Position Summary
The On-Call Banquet Server is responsible for providing high-quality food and beverage service for hotel events, meetings, and special functions. This role plays a key part in delivering a seamless and memorable guest experience by ensuring events are executed with professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms according to event orders (BEOs), including tables, linens, glassware, and equipment
- Provide attentive and courteous food and beverage service during events
- Ensure timely delivery of meals and beverages to guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events
- Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate effectively with team members
- Break down and reset rooms following events
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Support team members to ensure successful event execution
Qualifications
- Previous banquet, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions
