An ideal candidate would be skilled and highly motivated, focusing on working safely and providing outstanding customer service. The core requirements of the Maintenance Tech | Crew Member will be to complete lawn maintenance assignments efficiently and effectively.


Primary Responsibilities:

  •  Train and develop foremen to become “A” players and build a strong team.
  •  Complete performance review, equipment certifications, and recruiting. 
  •  Maintain proper crew size, managing the daily schedule to meet productivity goals.
  •  Know daily headcount requirements, schedule efficient routes, and align talent with properties.
  •  Ensure the service quality of the book of business meets Crabapple's expectations.
  •  Plan property inspections and consistent onsite training.
  •  Meet all productivity and efficiency goals.
  •  Daily management and monitoring of budgeted hours and proper scheduling.
  •  Retain at least 90% of the book of business over the calendar year.
  •  Partner with the Customer Relations Managers to understand the customers’ needs.
  •  Hold the team accountable for the proper maintenance of all equipment and trucks.
  •  Consistent monitoring and training are needed to ensure the crew understands expectations.
  •  Ensure that all safety requirements are being adhered to in working practices. 
  •  Create a culture in which everyone will participate and set the example.
  •  Notify and give reports on time.

Work Conditions / Essential Functions:

  • You will be required to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (e.g., heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise, cold, etc.).
  • Ability to walk and / or stand for long periods. 
  • Manual, labor-intensive position, requiring lifting of up to 60 lbs. 
  • Travel to and work at various locations, including North, South, and West Branches and job sites. 
  • Flexible working hours, including overtime and occasional weekend work (only in extreme circumstances)
  • Required to work around heavy equipment and other vehicles regularly. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  •  A minimum of three (3) years of Operations Management experience.
  • Leadership skills. Experience in managing up to 5 people.
  • Self-motivated individual who sets his/her own personal and professional goals. 
  • Ability to generate sales opportunities that enhance the property and add value.
  • Team-oriented to be a unifying force.
  • A high level of accountability for results is needed to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Motor Vehicle Report in good standing 
  • A four-year degree program is desirable but not required if the applicant has sufficient experience.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus
