This is a full-time position offering professional growth potential. We are seeking individuals who are energetic, motivated, and technically proficient to join our collaborative office environment.
In this role, individuals participate in the planning, design, and coordination of complex projects and documentation of TK-14 school and/or affordable and senior housing projects. Individuals are expected to independently apply advanced architectural concepts and designs.
The role is responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design that best meets client needs. Individuals will carry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures. May provide technical guidance to less experienced staff.
- Work with project team on various phases of projects from conceptual design through construction administration.
- Produce design and construction drawings in Revit format.
- Manage own schedule and workload, completing tasks assigned in a timely manner.
- Jobsite visits and other CA tasks as applicable.
- Bachelor or Master of Architecture from an accredited school
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in an architectural office required.
- Proficiency in Revit, including Architectural Construction Cloud (ACC), AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, InDesign skills are also appreciated.
- Experience with TK–14 public school and/or affordable or senior housing construction in California
- Experience with Division of the State Architect.
- Strong design skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with sustainable building systems such as LEED BD+C or LEED for homes or Green Point Rating are a plus.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The pay range for this role will be $73,000 - $95,000 DOE. HKIT Architects offers eligible employees a rich benefit package including medical, dental & vision insurance, life, LTD & STD insurance, FSA and 401k plans.
