Elementary STEAM & Computer Science Teacher
Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The teacher shall prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter—specifically regarding technological literacy and the design process—that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God. The teacher shall be a born-again, college graduate, certified or certifiable, who feels called by God to the teaching profession.


  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, Administrators, and parents.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required to facilitate effective teaching and student development.
  • Ability to support teams in the development of common assessments to inform instruction.
  • Proficiency in educational technology, basic coding, and the ability to manage a computer lab/STEAM center with high levels of organization and innovation.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, or a relevant STEAM subject area is required.
  • A valid teaching certificate is preferred; alternatively, candidates must be certifiable and willing to pursue Florida League of Christian Schools (FLOCS) certification.
  • Previous teaching experience in an Elementary academic setting is highly desirable.
