**This is a W-2 only position - Independent contractors need not apply**

We are looking for professional Local CDL Class A Company Drivers with Intermodal Experience and a minimum of 3 years’ experience of verifiable driving experience.

Qualified applicants will have the following:

• Drivers must have Class A CDL
• Must be 23 years of age
• 2 years of Intermodal driving experience
• 3 years of other CDL driving experience.
• No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years
• No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years
• No suspensions or revocations within the past 5 years
• No serious violations within the previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offenses committed in a CMV in connection with a fatality)
• No more than 3 moving violations within past 3 years
• No Preventable DOT Recordable accidents within the past 3 years
• Must be able to work 55+ hours per week
• Regular predictable attendance
• Perform pre-trip/post trip inspections
• Complete all required paperwork
• Hook & unhook a trailer
• Open & close trailer doors
• Enter & exit a Commercial Motor Vehicle

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday and one mandatory rotating Saturday per month.

Experience:

• Commercial driving: 5 years (Required)

Valid CDL Class A License

Must hold a current CDL Class A license issued by your state

Required for operating combination vehicles (tractor-trailers, semis)

Age Requirements

18+ for intrastate (within Illinois)

21+ for interstate (crossing state lines)

Medical Certification (DOT Physical)

Must pass a physical exam regulated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration

Receive a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT card)

Clean Driving Record

Limited or no serious violations (DUIs, reckless driving, etc.)

Employers often review MVR (Motor Vehicle Record

Background Check & Drug Screening

Pre-employment drug test required (DOT-regulated)

Must comply with random testing programs

Hours of Service Compliance

Must follow federal driving limits and rest rules set by FMCSA

Use of ELDs (electronic logging devices) is standard

Vehicle Knowledge

Ability to:

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections

Identify basic mechanical issues

Secure loads properly

Navigation & Time Management

Plan routes efficiently

Meet delivery deadlines safely

Inspect truck and trailer before/after trips

Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
