At Cavalier Distributing, we aren't just distributing great craft beverages, we’re using data and technology to optimize every product that moves through our system. As an Ops and Purchasing Analyst, you will be on the front lines, helping us leverage new and existing technology to make our operations and purchasing systems more efficient and accurate.

You will be responsible for ensuring that product is strategically purchased in alignment with our inventory needs and sales projections, all while maintaining minimal out-of-stock products.

What You Will Do:

  • Drive Efficiency: Develop and implement rigorous processes to ensure optimal product inventory levels are achieved and maintained, working closely with Operations and Sales Departments.
  • Be a Data Expert: Analyze past sales and product pickups to forecast and determine appropriate inventory levels.
  • Master the Product Flow: Manage your own product portfolio, track stocked inventory, and oversee inventory transfers between states and multi-warehouse locations.
  • Collaborate and Solve: Coordinate regular cross-departmental meetings to align on inventory levels, purchasing activities, and promotions. You will also resolve vendor inquiries and supplier issues for your portfolio.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate professionally with managers, customers, and vendors.
  • Strong technical skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently, think independently, and take action with limited oversight in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum one year previous work experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to process information.
  • Ability to communicate with supervisor.
  • Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
