Star Lumber & Supply Co., Inc. delivers confidence through our products and our people. We are seeking a detail oriented proactive individual for the Truss Field Support role to join the Truss Sales Team. 

The Truss Field Support role plays an important role in helping projects move successfully from planning to installation by serving as a connection between the jobsite and internal teams. This position supports field operations through site visits, layout verification, quality review, delivery coordination, and problem-solving to ensure that the truss products are installed accurately, safely, and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will regularly adjust to a wide range of tasks and projects while operating in a fast-paced environment. They will possess the ability to effectively communicate with the internal team, onsite work force, and other people involved in the complete truss installation process. 

A Typical Day:

· On site field measures. Checking the foundation measurement to the layout. 

· Conduct job site visits to monitor work progress and quality throughout installation. 

· Checking job sites for truss delivery logistics. 

· Delivering layouts and/or supporting materials to sites, when needed.

· Helping with onsite quality reviews. Reviewing truss quality and/or ensuring job site deliveries are complete and full.

· Assist with site repairs.

Job Requirements:

· Working knowledge of roof and floor truss systems, framing methods, and construction practices 

· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, truss placement diagrams, and engineered layouts 

· Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with field crews, sales, design, and production teams 

· Problem-solving ability to assess field conditions and recommend practical solutions 

· Understanding of truss installation, bracing requirements, and jobsite safety practices 

· Ability to travel to job sites as needed and work in outdoor conditions 

· Basic computer skills for documentation, communication, and reviewing plans 

· Ability to lift materials, climb ladders, and navigate active construction sites safely 

Preferred Experience:

· Ability to read construction drawings and layouts

· Attention to safety and detail

· Prior experience in truss manufacturing, construction, framing, or related building materials preferred
