Corpus Christi Freightliner, Western Star is looking for a motivated and results-oriented Heavy Duty Used Truck Sales Representative to join our team! In this exciting role, you will play a key role in driving sales of our inventory of pre-owned heavy-duty trucks to a variety of clients in the transportation industry. You'll leverage your product knowledge and strong communication skills to build relationships, identify customer needs, and present customized solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a strong network of clients within the assigned territory, including owner-operators, fleet managers, and independent businesses.
- Prospect for new leads and generate qualified sales opportunities through phone calls, email outreach, and attending industry events.
- Conduct in-depth needs assessments to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable used trucks from our inventory.
- Prepare competitive quotes and financing options tailored to each customer's needs.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts to close deals and achieve sales targets.
- Oversee the sales process from initial contact to final delivery, ensuring a smooth and positive customer experience.
- Maintain accurate sales records and reports on a regular basis.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activity, and new and used truck features to effectively position our inventory.
- Assist with marketing efforts to promote our used truck inventory and dealership.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, preferably within the heavy-duty truck industry or related B2B sales environment.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and achieving targets.
- Excellent understanding of the heavy-duty truck market, including different truck types, applications, and features.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills to effectively convey the value proposition of our used trucks.
- Proficient in CRM software and comfortable using technology to manage leads and sales activities.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL A or B a plus).
- Ability to travel within the designated sales territory (overnight trips may be required).
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
