Description

Pulmonary Medicine Associates (PMA) has been treating patients in the greater Sacramento for over 50 years and is a unique and exciting place to work, with specialties that include critical care, infectious disease, palliative care, pulmonology, pediatric pulmonology, and sleep medicine, We are a busy practice with over 80 providers and 2 outpatient clinic locations.

Duties Include:

· Prepare complex provider schedules for hospital and outpatient clinics.

· Prepare on-call, Sutter Transfer Center, and eICU schedules.

· Manage changes to the prepared schedule. 

· Manage physician requests for personal time off. Enter physician vacation and CME time into provider scheduling software, Lightning bolt.

· Enter completed schedules into hospital scheduling programs such as Epic and Amion.

· Ensure schedule changes are communicated to appropriate staff as they occur, including Clinic supervisors, PMA answering service, and hospital staff. 

· Assist with special projects as requested.

Requirements


· High school graduate or GED.

· Minimum of 3 years of related experience preferred.

· Knowledge of medical office and hospital scheduling principles. 

· Ability to manage multiple priorities. 

· Ability to work independently under general administrative direction, to exercise good judgment and accept personal responsibility. 

· Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

· Excellent phone etiquette. 

· Strong customer service skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

· Strong detail orientation and ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness. 

· Valid California driver’s license and automobile insurance. Ability to drive to different locations when needed. 


Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: 

· Must be able to work in a climate controlled, office environment. 

· Sit for extended periods of time. 

· Ability to read and write in order to process paperwork. 

· Manual dexterity needed for keyboarding and other repetitive office tasks. 

· Vision must be good or corrected to normal to perform normal job duties. 

· Hearing must be good to have the ability to understand information to perform job duties.
