Summary:

The Shipping & Receiving team memeber is responsible for the accurate receipt, verification, storage, movement, and shipment of raw materials, finished goods, supplies, and equipment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production operations, and ensuring customer orders are shipped safely, accurately, and on time.

Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Receive incoming shipments and verify products against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
• Accurately enter receiving, inventory, and shipping information into company systems.
• Prepare customer orders for shipment, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging materials.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Maintain proper inventory locations and support inventory control activities, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Transport materials between Shipping and Receiving and production areas as needed.
• Ensure all shipping documentation, bills of lading, and freight paperwork are completed accurately.
• Coordinate with production, purchasing, customer service, and transportation providers to ensure timely movement of materials.
• Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and housekeeping requirements.
• Maintain an organized and clean warehouse and shipping/receiving area.
• Comply with all applicable DOT, OSHA, and company policies and procedures.
• Assist with other warehouse and logistics functions as assigned.

Qualifications:

Be willing to work off-shifts and weekends as business requires

• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience Required
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or ERP systems preferred.
• Ability to read and understand shipping documents, packing slips, bills of lading, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Minimum: High School Diploma/ GED and 5 years of shipping and receiving experience required. 

Desirable: Post High School or vocational education.

Preferred: Bachelor Arts or Science.

Special Requirements:

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and climb throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment.
• Work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and moving equipment.
• Must be willing to enhance and learn new skill sets.
• Actively participate in safety initiatives.

Pay  Rate: 21.18 per hour
