What You’ll Do
- Prepare hot and cold menu items for banquet events according to function sheets and BEO specifications
- Review and confirm daily banquet production needs with the Chef or Sous Chef
- Execute food preparation tasks including cutting, slicing, dicing, peeling, and portioning ingredients
- Organize and prioritize banquet food production to ensure timely event execution
- Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and dating to ensure freshness and reduce waste
- Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines for banquet service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas, including tables, shelving, and refrigeration units
- Monitor inventory and assist in ensuring all required food items are prepared and available for events
- Communicate with culinary leadership regarding station status and production needs
- Assist with general kitchen duties and support other culinary areas as needed
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operational procedures
- Complete closing duties and ensure proper kitchen reset after service
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience required
- Strong knife skills and basic culinary technique required
- Ability to read and execute banquet event orders (BEOs) accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow direction from culinary leadership
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly
- Frequent bending, reaching, chopping, and repetitive motion
