We are seeking an Operations Analyst – Hybrid Remote at our downtown Cleveland, Ohio wealth management firm. This position supports the Operations team by executing core operational processes, including account onboarding and setup, portfolio accounting and reporting system updates, standardized reporting, transaction processing, and account/performance reconciliation. This role focuses on accurate data entry, timely completion of daily and periodic workflows, and partnership with internal teams and custodians to resolve routine exceptions and maintain accurate client and investment data.
This position offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week after initial training period.
Position responsibilities:
- Execute daily, monthly, and quarterly operational tasks to support timely and accurate client deliverables.
- Perform account onboarding, setup, and ongoing maintenance across portfolio accounting and reporting systems, including required data configuration.
- Process standard operational transactions using established procedures, including transaction entry and quality checks.
- Perform account and performance reconciliations; investigate breaks and coordinate with custodians to resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor alternative investments; enter related transactions across reporting systems; maintain supporting documentation.
- Produce monthly and quarterly standardized reporting and related operational deliverables.
- Assist with data aggregation setup and maintenance to support reporting and operational workflows.
- Save and organize custodial statements and alternative investment documents; maintain accurate and complete records.
- Support daily production activities and respond to ad hoc requests in coordination with the Operations team.
- Process account closing and client offboarding in accordance with established procedures.
- Follow departmental policies and procedures and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and controls.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in financial services or wealth management operations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures; willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple requests and priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to communicate and work well amongst cross-functional teams and external partners (including custodians).
- Basic working knowledge of portfolio accounting and reporting concepts, reconciliations, and transaction processing; experience with Orion Advisor Technology preferred.
