Description


Manage retail operations through oversight of assigned store location. Oversee day-to-day retail operations of the store as it relates to effectiveness and company policy compliance.


Essential Functions/Duties:

  • Assertively manage the outcomes, method of operation and cost effectiveness of all operational activities to meet or exceed corporate sales, customer service, cost, and safety objectives. 
  • Provide leadership and guidance to store team members through coaching on operational duties.     
  • Oversee the process of fiscal revenue, expense, and profit goals for assigned store location. 
  • Ensure that goals will be met through appropriate planning and organization of staff, inventory, and expenses for short- and long-term success. 
  • Attend and participate in manager (on-line or in-person) meetings which includes Buyers and all department heads of Accounting, HR, IT, Marketing, Distribution, Sales/Service, and Purchasing. 
  • Work closely with assigned Regional Manager in communicating ideas, plans, and overall functionality of the store. 
  • Participate in the hiring and discipline activities for team members.   
  • Conduct and write performance evaluations as needed and assigned.     
  • Ensure that company policies and procedures are communicated in a timely manner and adhered to accordingly. 
  • Provide an “open-door” policy where employees are free to express their concerns and feelings without fear of retribution or ill will. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the senior leadership team of the company.

 

Requirements


Required Skills/Experience: Must have at least 5 years of store/business management related responsibilities, including but not limited to; excellent customer service, inventory control, hiring/firing, training, budgeting, scheduling, etc... A sound knowledge of financial management and control is essential. Evidence of having achieved or participated in fundamental change(s) in operational processes is essential. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.


Required Education/Certification: Bachelors degree in Business Management or related field is preferred, not required.
