Description
NOTE: This is a full-time employment opportunity (open to W2, 1099 or C2C, no third parties, please). The candidate MUST be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and able to complete/pass/hold a public trust investigation. This is a remote opportunity; candidate must be based in the United States; have resided in the US for the last 3 years of the past 5 years; ET time zone work schedule.
Daily Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Lead with release management activities, including deployments, validation, and rollback support across environments.
- Maintain and support AWS and Azure cloud environments using services and frameworks such as AWS Cloud Development Kit.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability using Datadog, Splunk, and Amazon CloudWatch, and respond to alerts and incidents.
- Implement security controls within CI/CD pipelines, including code scanning, dependency checks, and vulnerability remediation.
- Identity and access management integrations using Okta, AWS Cognito, and Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML).
- Incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis to maintain system reliability.
- Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) development and maintenance under guidance from senior engineers.
- Work with DevOps, security, and development teams on system integration and migration efforts.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years within the last 5 years.
- Must be able to complete/pass/hold at a minimum a federal public trust investigation.
- 10+ years of experience in DevSecOps and DevOps.
- 5+ years of experience with AWS and Azure cloud-based platforms.
- Experience with AWS and Azure security.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise reporting initiatives.
- Experience with large-scale healthcare or federal data systems (i.e. FDA, NIH, etc.) is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
