Job Summary – Deli Clerk:


We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Deli Clerk to support our daily deli operations.


This position includes preparing made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other deli items, while providing friendly service and keeping the area clean, organized, and well-stocked.


The ideal candidate is fast, responsible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working as part of a team in a busy food service environment.

Requirements

 Key Responsibilities – Deli Clerk:

  • Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, and deli products according to company standards and recipes. 
  • Execute made-to-order requests quickly, accurately, and efficiently during high-volume periods. 
  • Coordinate with cashiers and deli team members to ensure proper order preparation and handoff. 
  • Verify ingredients, modifications, and special instructions before completing each order. 
  • Support deli production tasks, including prep, slicing, portioning, stocking, packaging, and labeling. 
  • Maintain workstations clean, organized, stocked, and ready throughout the shift. 
  • Rotate, label, and store products following FIFO and food safety procedures. 
  • Maintain product freshness, temperature, quality, cleanliness, and presentation standards. 
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service while supporting the guest experience. 
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, safety, and operational procedures established by the company. 
  • Maintain clear communication with managers and team members to support daily operations. 
  • Support additional deli and store tasks according to business needs.

Qualifications – Deli Clerk:

  • Previous deli, sandwich shop, kitchen, food service, or retail experience preferred. 
  • Ability to work quickly, accurately, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills. 
  • Ability to follow recipes, instructions, tickets, and operational standards. 
  • Responsible, punctual, organized, and reliable. 
  • Sense of urgency and strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs. 
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. 
  • Food Handler Certificate preferred or willingness to complete certification within the company-required timeframe.
