Our private equity partners have recognized our analytics and management oversight capabilities as among the strongest in their portfolio- and we are continuing to invest to push that advantage even further. 

We have built a mature, enterprise-grade data warehouse and analytics environment, and we are now focused on expanding, developing new insight modules, scaling performance, and leveraging AI-driven tools to unlock deeper, more actionable intelligence.

 

We are hiring a Senior Business Intelligence & Analyst to play a central role in that evolution. In this role, you will enhance an already strong foundation- building new dashboards, advancing our data model, and driving the next generation of analytics, including customer insights, revenue optimization, and workforce intelligence. 

You will operate as a high-impact individual contributor, owning BI execution while partnering across the business with external data engineering teams to scale capabilities and deliver meaningful insights. 


Key Responsibilities:

 

Business Intelligence & Dashboard Development 

  • Design, build, and enhance Power BI dashboards that drive operational and executive decision-making  
  • Expand existing analytics by developing new insight modules, including customer engagement, member acquisition, and revenue optimization  
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, wireframes, and scalable reporting solutions  
  • Partner with operations, finance, payroll, and leadership to deliver actionable, data-driven insights  
  • Drive dashboard usability, adoption, and continuous improvement  

Data & Warehouse Optimization 

  • Partner with third-party data engineering teams (India-based) to:  
  • Improve Azure SQL data warehouse scalability, performance, and efficiency  
  • Optimize table structures and data models to support evolving analytics needs  
  • Troubleshoot data issues and resolve performance constraints proactively 
  • Promote continuous improvement of the data environment to support increasing data volume and complexity  
  • Design and maintain data models (star schema, dimension modeling, fact tables) 
  • Write efficient SQL queries to ensure Power BI dashboard performance 
  • Build reusable datasets and views for broader consumption 
  • Build forecasting models, cohort analyses and trend projections 

Data Pipeline & Process Ownership 

  • Oversee automated ETL processes integrating data from MEEVO, Paylocity, Sage Intacct, Zoho, and Empower  
  • Support payroll processes by ensuring accurate extraction, validation, and loading of:  
  • Service hours  
  • Commissions (memberships, enhancements, retail)  
  • Tips  
  • Implement and maintain data quality controls and validation frameworks  

Operational Monitoring & Reliability 

  • Ensure automated daily production of ~100K reports across 130 locations runs accurately, reliably, and on schedule  
  • Identify and resolve data latency, capacity constraints, and system issues  
  • Manage exceptions and continuously improve automation performance and reliability 

Roadmap & Stakeholder Management 

  • Own and continuously refine the BI and analytics roadmap  
  • Prioritize and deliver initiatives aligned to business goals, including:  
  • Incremental revenue insights  
  • Employee performance, compensation, and productivity analytics  
  • Revenue and deferred revenue reporting  
  • Inventory analytics  
  • Customer Insights and engagement analytics  
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, communicate progress, and adjust priorities as needed  

AI, Automation & Advanced Tools 

  • Write and leverage SQL and Python to support data transformation and automation  
  • Use LLM/AI tools to accelerate dashboard development, ETL workflows, and insight generation  
  • Explore and implement AI-driven enhancements to deliver more predictive and actionable analytics  
Requirements

 

Required: 

  • 5 - 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or related roles  
  • Advanced expertise in Power BI (or comparable BI tools)  
  • Strong experience working in SQL-based data warehouse environments (Azure preferred)  
  • Experience managing ETL processes and automated data pipelines  
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions  
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors  
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills  
  • Willingness to collaborate with offshore teams, including flexibility in working hours when needed  

Preferred: 

  • Experience in multi-unit retail, franchise, or service-based environments  
  • Familiarity with MEEVO, Paylocity, Sage Intacct, Zoho, or similar systems  
  • Experience writing Python scripts for automation or data processing  
  • Experience leveraging AI/LLM tools to improve productivity and output quality

  • Deliver accurate, on-time automated reporting across all locations  
  • Improve data quality and reliability through strong validation controls  
  • Enhance data warehouse performance and scalability  
  • Deliver actionable insights that drive revenue, labor optimization, and operational performance  
  • Execute and evolve the BI roadmap, including new analytics modules  
  • Increase adoption and impact of dashboards across the organization  

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid role based in Tempe, AZ: 1400 E. Southern Ave, Tempe, AZ, 85252  
  • Work onsite Tuesday - Thursday, remote Monday and Friday  
  • Collaborate with offshore teams as needed, with occasional flexibility in working hours  
  • Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000 Annually DOE
