Position Overview
The Real Estate Services Senior Manager is responsible for leading the strategic and operational management of a portfolio of medical office buildings located on the UVA Health Prince William Campus. As the primary relationship holder, this role oversees financial performance, property operations, leasing initiatives, capital projects, and team leadership to ensure high tenant satisfaction, strong portfolio performance, and long-term client success.
Beyond property operations, this position plays an instrumental role in creating environments that support healthcare delivery and enhance the experience of providers, patients, and visitors. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, service-oriented leader who values relationship building and takes pride in supporting spaces that positively impact the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operations and strategic management of a portfolio of medical office buildings and designated client relationships
- Serve as the primary advisor to clients, property owners, and key stakeholders regarding portfolio performance and operational strategy
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, occupancy reporting, and variance analysis
- Lead and develop building management staff while fostering a culture of operational excellence and tenant satisfaction
- Manage leasing initiatives, tenant retention strategies, property marketing efforts, and lease negotiations
- Oversee maintenance programs, property inspections, life safety compliance, and operational improvements
- Direct tenant improvement and capital projects, including contractor selection, budgeting, and project oversight
- Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and overall portfolio operational performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, industry partners, vendors, and community stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Property Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Minimum 10 years of commercial or healthcare real estate management experience preferred
- Active Virginia Real Estate Salesperson’s license required or ability to obtain within four months of hire
- Experience managing medical office building portfolios, client relationships, and property management teams
- Strong knowledge of property operations, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Experience overseeing leasing initiatives, capital improvement projects, and vendor management programs
- Strong leadership, negotiation, presentation, and client relationship management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management/accounting software systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
