Description

 Job Summary 

As a Junior Linux Application Engineer, you will contribute to the development of Linux-based modem solutions using Qualcomm chipsets. Reporting to the SW3 Team Leader, you will support application development, board bring-up activities, and modem functionality verification while growing your technical depth in cellular modem technologies.


 Objectives & Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain software for cellular modem solutions based on Qualcomm chipsets.
  • Implement Linux-based applications/services for modem control and data communication.
  • Support board bring-up, hardware interface validation, and initial system debugging.
  • Assist with firmware download processes, flashing automation, and tool usage.
  • Participate in issue analysis for modem connectivity, protocol stack behavior, and data throughput.
  • Support security-related tasks for cellular modem development, including vulnerability analysis and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to manage deliverables and execute project plans.
  • Conduct debugging, code review, and performance optimization under guidance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Linux development.
  • Experience in programming within Linux environments, particularly with C/C++.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • A team player who values collaboration.
  • Ability to travel internationally without restrictions.

 
Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in cellular modem development.
  • Understanding of embedded systems and communication protocols.
  • Knowledge or experience with modem technologies.
  • Interest in modem security or secure boot technologies.
  • Experience with Qualcomm tools (QXDM, QPST) or modem log interpretation.
  • Knowledge of LTE/NR/RedCap or communication protocols.
  • Experience with Yocto, Embedded Linux, or OpenWRT.
  • Experience with Git, automation tools, or scripting (Python/Shell).
  • Contributions to open-source projects.
